Strictly necessary
Sign-in and session storage is used only in the private admin area of this site. Without it, signing in would not work. It is set only after you sign in.
Preferences
Small values may be stored to remember interface preferences, such as a chosen view. These are optional and can be cleared at any time.
Analytics
If aggregate analytics are used, they are limited to counts of page views and referrers and are not used to identify individual readers.
Third parties
Embedded content from other services (for example a video or a newsletter form) may set its own cookies once you interact with it. Those are governed by the provider's own policy.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site storage, usually under privacy settings. Blocking them will not break reading this site; it will only prevent signing in to the admin area.
