Aritro Roy — Curriculum Vitae
Design strategist · venture and community systems builder
Aritro Roy—usually called Zoopi—is a design strategist, venture builder and serial side-quester from Bangalore, now based in London. His work spans product and service design, community systems, venture creation and experience design. He is the 2026/27 President of UAL's Creative Entrepreneurs Society and a co-founder of Synetra Health, an early-stage pre-hospital decision-support concept developed during the European Innovation Academy in Porto. Across placements, university projects and self-initiated experiments, he keeps returning to one problem: how to turn a chaotic idea into coordinated motion. He publishes field notes about the decisions, failures and people inside that process.
Experience
Design placement (official title to be confirmed) — Philips
During my 2025/26 Diploma in Professional Studies year, I completed a placement with Philips that concluded in May 2026. The work developed my experience of research and design within a large, multi-stakeholder product organisation. A fuller case study will publish only the process, artefacts and outcomes I am permitted to share.
Design placement (title to be confirmed) — LOCAL
A placement with LOCAL in Bangalore during the 2025/26 Diploma in Professional Studies year. One clear challenge, a defined contribution and a specific lesson — written up here once the scope and permissions are confirmed.
Administrator / community operations — Tournafest
Administration and community operations work during the esports years, alongside KLING.
Ventures
Synetra Health — Co-founder — design, procurement, prototype and venture narrative
Synetra Health began during an intensive venture programme in Porto in July–August 2026. Our founding team explored how medics make high-stakes decisions when connectivity, power, time and equipment are constrained, and developed Synetra Insight: an initial hardware/software concept for local patient monitoring and decision support. It remains an early concept and prototype — not a clinically validated or deployed medical device.
Prismatic — Co-founder / operator (to be confirmed)
Prismatic explored whether a small multidisciplinary team could function as a venture engine — supporting several pre-seed ideas while building repeatable systems for positioning, product definition, brand and execution. At one point the remote team numbered roughly seven to eight people contributing around 15–20 hours a week across four to five early ventures. Those figures describe an operating phase, not market leadership.
Kevlar Studios — Co-founder (to be confirmed)
Early creative-agency work focused on digital storytelling across technology, esports and fashion, before and around the start of university.
Documentary & travel photography — Photographer
An ongoing photographic practice running alongside everything else: cities, events, collaborators and the unremarkable moments between the things that end up on a CV.
KLING eSports — Founder / organiser
Before I had the words for community operations or systems design, I was building an esports organisation: teams, rosters, tournaments, Discord operations and the social machinery that keeps a volunteer community showing up. Everything I do now is a more expensive version of this.
Education & programmes
University of the Arts London — Team member
A team entry to the 2026 UAL Creative Hack that won its category, bringing my practice back to games and systems design a decade after the esports chapter. The exact project title, artefacts and official result are being confirmed before the full write-up.
University of the Arts London — Team member
An interdisciplinary social-enterprise concept developed at the 2025 UAL Creative Hack, about digital hoarding and the invisible carbon cost of the data we never delete. Written up in 'Data... data... and more data!'.
The Cartoon Museum × UAL — Design student — live brief
For a UAL live brief with The Cartoon Museum, my first instinct was to generate an enormous field of possibilities. The critique was useful and brutal: several were interesting dreams, but they did not solve the brief. The project became an exercise in subtraction — identifying the one proposition strong enough to survive the client, the constraints and the final presentation in January 2025.
Leadership & community
CapCut Creator Lab — Organising team
A creator lab held at the Barbican on 11 June 2026, pairing creative tooling with a short build format.
London Venture Run — Programme designer
London Venture Run is a proposed three-day sprint intended to move teams from idea to plan, MVP and pitch. The programme is being designed around practical handoffs between tools, mentors, communities and venues. Large participation and volunteer figures are planning targets, not results.
CES × Lovable Portfolio Showcase Gala — Organiser (exact programme role to be confirmed)
A portfolio pitch night held at BrainStation on 16 January 2026 with 80 public attendees, closing the loop on the portfolio workshop run the previous month.
CES × Lovable portfolio workshop — Organising team
A two-hour portfolio-building workshop held at London College of Fashion on 5 December 2025, with 54 public attendees.
Notion × CES “Build Better” — Organising team
A collaboration between Notion and the Creative Entrepreneurs Society held at LSE on 9 June 2025.
Goodnotes hackathon — Organising team
A team-based hackathon hosted at the Goodnotes London office in November 2024, with over sixty creative participants.
Notion November — Co-host
A co-hosted hackathon on 30 November 2024 built around productivity systems and creative output.
Creative Entrepreneurs Society — President, 2026/27 (previously events and committee roles)
I moved through hands-on event and leadership roles at the Creative Entrepreneurs Society before becoming its President for 2026/27. My work has centred on programme design, team systems, partnerships and succession: helping translate an energetic calendar of events into an organisation that can continue beyond any one committee.
Notion Campus Leader — Campus Leader
Campus Leader work spanning UAL and KCL: running events, teaching practical workspace systems, and connecting a scattered set of student builders to tools they actually keep using.
FSN Asia — Community / executive role (to be confirmed)
A community or executive role during the esports years, recorded here for chronology.
